London-Middlesex Children’s Water Festival Family Night Returns to Fanshawe Conservation Area
The London-Middlesex Children’s Water Festival Family Night is back in London at Fanshawe Conservation Area from 5-8 pm on May 14th, 2026.
This event is packed with exciting, hands-on activities to teach children and youth about the importance of water while having fun with friends and family. Event highlights include:
- Water-themed activity stations – Explore interactive games and exhibits all about water!
- Paddling on Fanshawe Lake – Hop in a canoe and experience the beauty of Fanshawe firsthand!
- Live birds of prey shows (5:30 pm and 7 pm) – See raptors soar with the Canadian Raptor Conservancy!
- Shop the pop-up market – Urban Roots is coming with bushels of veggies for sale!
- Community partner booths – Take part in hands-on activities while meeting local organizations dedicated to protecting water and the environment!
- Food trucks – Enjoy delicious eats from Tikka Tomato, New Leaf, Taste of Lebanon, The Donut Diva, Leens Big Bite, and It’s Not a Pow Wow Until the Weiner Comes Out
- And more!
Family Night offers a glimpse into the broader Children’s Water Festival field trip running from May 12-15 when hundreds of grade 2-5 students will explore activity stations based on water conservation, science, and technology.
On Thursday, May 14th, media is invited to attend a luncheon and tour of the festival:
10:30 am: Welcome and Introduction
10:45 am: Festival Tour
11:45 am: Lunch and Refreshments
The London-Middlesex Children’s Water Festival Family Night is entirely free, fun for all ages, and will run rain or shine. Community members are encouraged to follow the for updates and information leading up to the big day.
