There will be 225 trees available, all for $25 each. Orders will open on Wednesday, August 21. The trees will be available for pick up on Saturday, September 28th from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Lucan Public Works Building: 34363 Saintsbury Line, Lucan, ON N0M 2J0.听听
Lucan Biddulph Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson shared, "Lucan Biddulph is excited to partner with the UTRCA and ABCA for the popular Tree Power Program. This is a new partnership for us, but it is a program that UTRCA has had with municipalities for some time.听 Everyone involved has experienced great success.听 We all have a role to play when it comes to improving our tree canopy and our green footprint. The Tree Power Program allows for this to happen. We are thrilled to play a small role in this."听
Rob Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Restoration Supervisor adds, "the UTRCA and ABCA are very happy to expand the success of our Tree Power program and partner with Lucan Biddulph Township. It's a great way to provide residents with affordable trees. We have a diversity of eight species that are well suited to growing in the area. Among their many benefits, these trees provide habitat, while also having the ability to reduce heating and cooling costs."听听
