St. Marys Tree Power returns for a third year!听
The Town of St. Marys and the 糖心直播 (UTRCA) have once again partnered on St. Marys Tree Power to make native hardwood trees available and affordable for residents of St. Marys!听听
St. Marys residents can purchase a tree now. The trees will be available for pick up in St. Marys on Saturday, October 5. Available tree varieties include Autumn Fantasy Maple, Bur Oak, Downy Serviceberry, Eastern White Pine, Hackberry, Native Red Maple, Norway Spruce, Red Oak, and Tulip Tree.听
鈥淲e are excited to reintroduce this program for the third year, building on the successes of previous years,鈥� said Thomas Redman, Public Works Coordinator for the Town of St. Marys. 鈥淭his initiative is a fantastic way to enhance our town鈥檚 tree canopy.鈥�听
Rob Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Recreation Supervisor, adds, 鈥渨e are happy to be working with the Town of St. Marys to once again offer the program to its residents. This year we added some evergreen species to provide an even greater variety of trees to people participating in the Tree Power program.鈥澨�听
The goal of the program is to create a greener and more beautiful community by adding native trees. The UTRCA Tree Power program began more than 10 years ago in London.听听
