Property Owners along the Thames River in London invited to view UTRCA鈥檚 Updated Regulated Area Maps听
The 糖心直播 (UTRCA) is undertaking a comprehensive review and upgrade of its regulated area maps along the Thames River through the City of London. Updating these maps enables the UTRCA and its municipal partners to use the most current information to identify hazards, assess risk, and guide land use decisions.听听
The UTRCA invites property owners in or near the Thames River regulated area in the City of London to one of the following sessions:听
In-person Open House:听听
What: Drop in to discuss the regulated area map updates and view draft maps.听
When: Thursday, November 21, 2024, 6-9 pm听听
Where: Civic Garden Complex, Birch Room, 625 Springbank Drive, London听
Virtual Information Session:听
What: Join us for a brief presentation about the regulated area map updates.听
When: Tuesday, November 26, 2024, 7-8 pm听

Visit UTRCA鈥檚 project page at for more information and to view draft maps and provide feedback on the updates. Comments on the updated regulated area maps will be received until December 26, 2024.听
The UTRCA works to protect people and property from the risks of natural hazards, including flood and erosion hazards, watercourses, and valleys, as well as wetlands and the area around them. The UTRCA reviews and regulates development in or near these natural hazards under the Conservation Authorities Act and Ontario Regulation 41/24: Prohibited Activities, Exemptions and Permits. Proposed development in regulated areas needs to be reviewed and approved by the UTRCA.听
