UTRCA's Tree PowerÌýreturnsÌýto Thames Centre!Ìý

The ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ (UTRCA)'s Tree Power program isÌýreturning toÌýThames CentreÌýfor a second year.ÌýThis popular program provides watershed residents with affordable native hardwood trees through partnerships with UTRCA municipalities and sponsors.ÌýÌýÌý

"I helped residents load trees into their cars last year, and I was very impressed by the turnout," says Thames CentreÌýCouncillorÌýDanielle Lockie. "Tree planting is one of the simplest and most effective ways to help the environment, and discounted trees from Tree Power helps everyone get involved."ÌýÌý

"We'reÌýexcitedÌýto partner withÌýtheÌýmunicipality and bring Tree Power to Thames Centre residents. This program isÌýan easy wayÌýforÌýpeopleÌýto improve their local environment," says Rob Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Restoration Supervisor.Ìý

Online orders will open onÌýMarch 9Ìýat 9 am. Trees are $30ÌýeachÌývia theÌýÌýTheÌýspecies that will be available for purchaseÌýinclude:ÌýAmerican Sycamore, Basswood, Bur Oak, Hackberry, Paper Birch, Red Oak, Sugar Maple, Tulip Tree, WhiteÌýSpruceÌýand White Pine.Ìý

Residents will be able to pick up their trees onÌýSaturday,ÌýAprilÌý25.Ìý
