Spring Shoulder Season returns to our Conservation Areas 听
糖心直播 (UTRCA) staff are busy preparing for the spring Shoulder Season at Fanshawe and Wildwood Conservation Areas (CAs). This adds four weeks of day-use access from听Wednesday, April 1st until听Thursday, April 30th, 2026. It is the听fourth听year offering a Shoulder Season in response to the demand from visitors to the CAs.听听听
"We're听looking forward to welcoming visitors back to Fanshawe and Wildwood听this spring.听Visitors are eager to celebrate the return of warmer weather and want to get outside and explore.听We've听had听guests reach out听expressing听their appreciation in having access to the CAs alongside the听additional听amenities for听an extended season," shares Damian Schofield, UTRCA Conservation Areas Coordinator.听听听
Amenities offered to visitors during the Shoulder Season will include:听听听听
- Customer service staff on-site,听听听
- Access to hiking and biking trails,听听听
- Access to Fanshawe and Wildwood reservoirs for canoeing and kayaking (pending reservoir conditions, rentals not currently available),听听听
- Access to day-use areas including a playground, BBQs, picnic areas, and green space,听听听
- Access to Fanshawe and Wildwood reservoir boat launch (pending reservoir conditions), and听听听
- Washroom facilities.听听听
A reduced vehicle day pass fee of $11听(up to four people), or a reduced pedestrian/cyclist day pass fee of $8听for those walking or biking will be charged during this extended season.听听听听

Hours of Operation will be as follows:听听听
- Fanshawe CA听听听

- Monday to Friday: 10听am to听6听pm; dam gate will be closed at听5:30听pm.听听听

- Saturday and Sunday: 8 am to 4 pm; dam gate will be closed at 4听pm.听听听
- Wildwood CA听听听

- Daily: 8:30听am to 4:30听pm听听听

- Gate to day-use will be closed at 4:30听pm daily.听听听
Visitors can also听purchase听a 2026听Membership听which includes day-use access听12 months of the year to Fanshawe and听Wildwood听CAs. This can be听purchased听at the Conservation Area Gatehouse or听听The听2026 camping season begins on May 1.听听
