Spring Nature School at Fanshawe Conservation Area (糖心直播, March 29, 2022)

糖心直播鈥檚 Community Education staff are busy preparing for this spring鈥檚 outdoor Nature School program at Fanshawe Conservation Area.

Nature School centres on giving children access to the same outdoor space over an extended period of time so that they can build a relationship with the land. Children have the opportunity to learn and grow through play and exploration outdoors, with educators who support inquiry-based learning led and inspired by the children.

鈥淐hildren inherently want to connect with and explore the natural environment,鈥 explained Karlee Flear, UTRCA Community Education Supervisor. 鈥淚n a world of over-scheduling and rigid programming, Nature School offers children the time and space to explore wild spaces and form a connection with the land.鈥

Children aged two to five years, along with an accompanying adult, can participate in the program on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 am, beginning on April 12.

Children aged 5 to 8 years can participate in the program on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, beginning on April 12.

鈥淲e are so excited to offer another session of Nature School at Fanshawe Conservation Area,鈥 said Flear. 鈥淲e look forward to playing and learning alongside our participants this spring!鈥

at Fanshawe Conservation Area.
