Hope and Action Festival Brings Live Music and Family Fun to Fanshawe Conservation Area this OctoberÌý

A weekend of creativity, community, and connection is coming to Fanshawe Conservation Area with the 2025 Hope and Action Festival.Ìý

The festival opens on Friday, Oct. 24th with special programming for high school students from across the Upper Thames River watershed. They will come together for hands-on learning designed to spark hope and inspire youth to take action for a greener future.Ìý

The fun continues Saturday, Oct. 25th from 10 am – 3 pm when the festival opens free to the public for a day of live music, interactive activities, food trucks, birds of prey shows and more.Ìý

Community members are also invited to join an Indigenous opening ceremony at 9 am led by Anishinaabe Elder Mary Lou Smoke. It will be a great opportunity to gather in reflection and gratitude.Ìý

To make it easy for everyone to join in, the City of London is providing free transportation to Fanshawe Conservation Area from Argyle Mall. A schedule will be posted to the ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥'s (UTRCA) website: thamesriver.on.ca/event/hope-and-action-festival.Ìý

"Hope and Action is about creating a space where people can come together to celebrate and learn about the work being done by individuals, community groups, organizations, and others to build a healthy environment, now and into the future," said Linda Smith, festival organizer and Community Partnerships Specialist with the UTRCA.Ìý

The musical performances will be kickstarted by London South Collegiate performers at 10 am. Afterwards, six local musicians will take the stage to provide a full day of live tunes: Katherine Fischer, Dawn Redskye, Shawn Durant, Fiker, Fraser Teeple, and Kevin's Bacon Train.Ìý

This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the UTRCA, Thames Talbot Land Trust, and the City of London.Ìý
