Discover, Play, Learn: Oxford Children’s Water Festival Family Night Returns to Pittock Conservation Area
The Oxford Children’s Water Festival Family Night is back in Woodstock at Pittock Conservation Area from 5-8 pm on May 15th, 2025.
This event is packed with exciting, hands-on activities to teach children and youth about the importance of water while having fun with friends and family. Event highlights include:
- Water-themed activity stations – Explore interactive games and exhibits all about water!
- Paddling at Pittock Reservoir – Hop in a canoe and experience the beauty of Pittock firsthand!
- Live birds of prey shows (5:30 pm and 7 pm) – See raptors soar with the Canadian Raptor Conservancy!
- Community partner booths – Meet community organizations dedicated to protecting water and the environment!
- Drumming circle – Express yourself and come together in community through music!
- Food trucks – Enjoy delicious eats from the Smoking Grill, Todd’s Dogs, Las Mexicanas Tacos and Burritos, and Mr. Cool Ice Cream!
Family Night offers a glimpse into the broader Children’s Water Festival field trip running from May 13-16 when hundreds of grade 2-5 students will explore activity stations based on water conservation, science, and technology.
On Wednesday, May 14th, media is invited to attend a luncheon and tour of the festival:

12:45 pm: Lunch and Refreshments
