鈥淏urgess Park is the perfect location for this event as we have completed so many projects there with our community partners. We鈥檙e excited to tell the public about these projects and we鈥檙e planning a day full of outdoor learning that people will really enjoy,鈥 said Brad Hertner, UTRCA Community Education Supervisor.
鈥淲e would especially like to invite all those community members that have been instrumental in helping others through the pandemic,鈥 said Hertner. 鈥淎 commemorative item will be installed at many of the event locations to recognize the contributions of local front line workers.鈥
The Celebrating Natural Connections event is intended to commemorate the continued efforts of frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrate the natural spaces that are so important for our physical and mental health. Local artists and municipalities are involved, as well as hiking, naturalist, and angler clubs.
