Celebrating Natural Connections event in Mitchell (糖心直播, October 18, 2022)
The 糖心直播 (UTRCA) is hosting a Celebrating Natural Connections event at Lion鈥檚 Park in Mitchell on Saturday, October 22!
This free event will include: a guided insect hike with UTRCA and West Perth Library staff, live reptile shows with Sciensational Sssnakes, a reading with author Jon-Erik Lappano, activities with Indigenous sducator Patsy Day, stream creatures with UTRCA Aquatic Biology staff, and more!
There will also be a bench unveiled to commemorate the contribution of frontline workers during the pandemic.

鈥淲e鈥檝e got a great day planned in Mitchell. Our community partners have helped us plan a day of fun outdoor activities that people will really enjoy. We would especially like to invite all those community members that have been instrumental in helping others through the pandemic,鈥 said Erin Dolmage, UTRCA Community Education Technician.
Celebrating Natural Connections commemorates the efforts of frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrates the natural spaces that are so important for our physical and mental health. Local artists and municipalities are involved in the events, as well as hiking, naturalist, and angler clubs.
